Mrs Margaret Burke is to make her debut as a producer with the Gateway Theatre with this year’s Christmas production, which will be the ever popular Noel Coward’s ‘Bithe Spirit.’ Dates for auditions will be announced shortly.

This summer’s production is ‘Holiday Snap’ by Michael Pertwee and John Chapman and will be produced by Miss Susan Gates. This hilarious farce is now in rehearsal and will no doubt delight and entertain those at Portrush Summer Theatre (5th – 8th August) and various venues throughout the country. It will be staged in Portadown Town Hall on October 23rd and 24th.

Sam Cree, is probably Northern Ireland’s most popular playwright, although no longer with us his comedies are guaranteed to ‘pack them in.’ The Gateway Theatre is regarded as some of the best exponents of his plays and a little known fact is that they did premier one of his plays, ‘Sink or Slim,’ something they are justly proud of.
