CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION 2011
Bob Anderson produced the group’s Christmas Production, Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Round and Round the Garden’ and was well received over two performances in Portadown Town Hall December 9th and 10th.

PANTOMIME 2012

Portadown Pantomime 2012 is now entering its final week under the guidance of Simon Hylands who is making his debut as director. This year’s production is ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Tickets are available for the Thursday night show and can be booked by ringing the Pantomime Hotline on 38351313.

SUMMER/AUTUMN PRODUCTION

Sam Cree’s hilarious ‘Widows’ Paradise’ directed by Millie O’Kasilli was a great hit as this year’s summer production, culminating in two great performances in Portadown Town Hall in front of two very appreciative audiences on October 28th and 29th.

We are constantly seeking new members with an interest in drama so if you have an interest in acting, helping backstage or have a keen interest in sound or lights you will be made most welcome at any of our monthly meetings.

GATEWAY ‘LAUGHEDALOT’ AT SPAMALOT

The group undertook an outing to see Monty Python’s award winning ‘Spamalot’ in the Grand Opera House, Belfast on Saturday, 21st May 2011. It was a great day out and more social events are being planned. As usual the Gateway will continue to ‘Always look on the bright side of life.’ Why not come and join us?

Sam Cree, is probably Northern Ireland’s most popular playwright, although no longer with us his comedies are guaranteed to ‘pack them in.’ The Gateway Theatre is regarded as some of the best exponents of his plays and a little known fact is that they did premier one of his plays, ‘Sink or Slim,’ something they are justly proud of. The above picture was taken when Sam visited the cast of ‘Sink or Slim.’
